Trials and Errors with the Moby

So yesterday I bought 5 yards of fabric to make my own Moby wrap. All you do is cut it in half length wise and that's it. So i watched on youtube how to do it and put it in, and she did not like it very much. This shows you how much she liked it:

Then today I looked up different ways to put her in, and this is the winner! As I type she is sleeping soundly.

I'm glad she likes it because it's very comfortable to wear.

It's Been Awhile

So it's been over a month since I last posted. Which probably means that everyone that knows I have this more than likely forgot about it, lol. So I'll get to updating about Molly.

Right now she is sleeping soundly in her crib! She was able to fall asleep on her own, all I had to do was just to keep putting the pacifier back in her mouth. I miss the days when she would sleep like a rock.

Within the past week she started smiling back at us!! It's so precious. Initially she was smiling mostly for Rob, but today she was smiling at me for a good ten minutes! So I was finally able to get a picture, which is below.

I love the dimple she has on her right cheek. I hope it stays when she gets older.

In other news, last night was the worst night we have ever had with her. For about 3 hours she was just non stop crying! I'd offer her food, sometimes she'd take it and other times it'd make her scream more. We'd try burping her, gripe water, putting her in the sling, fresh air, bouncing, changing her diaper, and probably other things I can't think of right now. What finally got her to sleep was loading her up in the car and going for a drive. Still have no idea what she was so worked up about. She slept for a long stretch today, about 5 hours. It made me kind of worried that she slept for that long, but I keep reciting what the doctor at the hospital told us "A sleeping baby isn't hungry, and a hungry baby wont sleep." But with Molly, unlike other babies her age, we had to wake her up every 3 hours to eat, and after a few weeks she'd start doing it on her own, and recently she's started going for longer stretches again. She's growing as far as I can tell. Rob and I think that she'll just be a tall and skinny baby. Which is fine except it means that a lot of the clothes I got for her wont fit right! So frustrating. Why do clothing makers assume that most babies are chunky? What do the skinny babies get to wear? lol. But it's so confusing because some newborn sizes still fit her, and others are too small, and some are even too big. Some 3 month size things fit her length wise, but are too wide.

Well I think I'll take advantage of my sleeping baby and try to get some sleep myself.
